frank oscar larson – street photographer – new york 1950s

when i observe the work of other street photographers, i see  a common thread amongst them, unabashed curiosity.  i feel a surprising kinship to these other very curious individuals, who sought to capture their world through what they saw through their lens.  street photography forms an important visual aspect of the historical record  that would otherwise have never existed had it not been for  the ever-curious (regardless of time period, location or gender) who simply walked around with a camera in their hands.
